Departments
Organise your team into departments for approvals and visibility.
Why departments?
Departments help you organise your team and configure:
- Approval routing — who approves requests
- Visibility — who can see whose leave
- Wallchart filtering — view one department at a time
Creating a department

Navigate to department settings
Go to Settings → Departments and click Add Department.

Name your department
Enter a name like "Engineering", "Marketing", or "Operations".

Assign an approver
Choose who will approve leave requests for this department. This can be any user with the Approver or Admin role.

Multiple approvers
You can assign multiple approvers to a department. Any one of them can approve requests.
Moving employees between departments
Edit an employee's profile to change their department. Their pending requests will be reassigned to the new department's approver.
